Allen's knee is why he fell to the third round of the draft, and both he and the Chargers presumably expected some bumps in the road as he attempts to reach full strength. There's no indication as of now that his departure Tuesday was for more than recovery management, though, so he should remain a factor in the San Diego wideout competition.
