Vikings receiver and kickoff returner Cordarrelle Patterson caught the attention of the league as a rookie last season, scoring seven touchdowns and earning All-Pro honors.
Apparently, that wasn't good enough.
"I think I was kind of bad last year," Patterson told ESPN. "This year will be way better."
Patterson, who wasn't featured in Minnesota's offense until late in the season, expects to be used more at receiver positions this year. With new offensive coordinator Norv Turner now in the mix, there's a good chance of that happening.
"We've had guys who have been very productive players, extremely outstanding players I would say, and they lined up and played one position," Turner said this week. "We've moved Cordarrelle around quite a bit this week and he seemed to handle it pretty well, so we'll see how much he can handle?"
Patterson, 23, was selected 29th overall by the Vikings in the 2013 draft. In a 29-26 loss to Baltimore on Dec. 8, Patterson caught five passes for a career-high 141 yards with a touchdown.
