Josh Gordon: Facing 2014 Season Suspention

Rotowire12 years ago

Gordon is facing a season-long suspension from the NFL after failing a second drug test a few months back, ESPN's Outside the Lines reports. Gordon and his agent Drew Rosenhaus declined to comment on the matter, but Rosenhaus said that the information was "not true."

Analysis:

The suspension hasn't been handed down officially from the league, but it's a potentially huge blow to the rebuilt Cleveland offense if Gordon is in fact going to be suspended for the entire 2014 regular season. Gordon reportedly received a letter during the winter informing him of a failed drug test, and a subsequent letter in April that informed him that he has a right to appeal. The failed drug test is reportedly for marijuana, which caused Gordon to be suspended twice during his time at Baylor.
