Travis Beckum: Released By The Seahawks Monday

Beckum was released by the Seahawks on Monday, John Boyle of the Everett Herald reports.

Analysis:

The Seahawks took a flyer on the tight end, scooping him off the free-agent scrap heap in February. Beckum last took the field during the Giants' Super Bowl victory in February of 2012 but left in the second quarter due to a right ACL tear. His release may signal the end of his run in the NFL, but the open market will ultimately determine his fate.
