As the MLB Draft crawls into its third day and nears the 30th round, the San Diego Padres used a late pick on former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel.

The 28th round selection is 815 picks later than Manziel was selected in the NFL Draft, and carries a signing slot that pales in comparison to being a first-round football selection.
