Report: Panthers, Hardy unlikely to reach long-term deal before deadline

Defensive end Greg Hardy is reportedly not expected to come to terms with the Carolina Panthers before Tuesday.
Per source, a long-term deal between the Panthers and franchise-tagged DE Greg Hardy is unlikely before tomorrow's deadline.

The two sides have until 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday to reach an agreement on a long-term deal, or Hardy will remain franchise-tagged on a one-year contract.
The 25-year-old will also be in court on Tuesday, as his trial begins on charges that he allegedly assaulted and threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend in May.
