When St. Louis Rams running back Isaiah Pead went down with a non-contact injury after his knee appeared to buckle on a kick return, it felt like we'd seen the last of him for the season.
After the game, Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said as much.

While Fisher added fuel to the speculation, he did not confirm that Pead was lost for the year. Pead will undergo an MRI on Sunday to confirm the damage, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
Pead was set to enter his third season with the Rams after being selected in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He carried the ball 17 times for 75 yards in two seasons with the Rams.
