Starter Matt Cassel has preformed well in preseason action, going 17-for-22 for 215 passing yards and one touchdown, but Bridgewater impressed with a 16-for-20, two-touchdown outing in the second half against the Arizona Cardinals.
A quarterback controversy like this is one Minnesota should love to have after three seasons of Christian Ponder.
