The NFLPA investigation of the Seattle Seahawks that resulted in hefty fines for both the organization and coach Pete Carroll reportedly could have been avoided if not for a publicized scuffle between Richard Sherman and Bryan Walters during minicamp.

According to ProFootballTalk, the dispute between Sherman and Walters (read more about the scuffle here) was the catalyst for the investigation, for which the Seahawks were forced to surrender all video footage of offseason activities.

A review of the footage revealed excessive aggressiveness during a number of minicamp sessions, including the June 18 practice that led to the Sherman-Walters dispute. The NFLPA apparently decided the practices were "way too aggressive."
