Jaguars make 18 roster moves to get down to 57, including Mike Brewster

The Jacksonville Jaguars made 18 roster moves to trim their roster down to 57 players on Friday.

The team placed wide receiver Tandon Doss and rookie cornerback Rashaad Reynolds on injured reserve after the players suffered injuries in the team's preseason finale against Atlanta on Thursday.

The team also waived center Mike Brewster, guard Drew Nowak, defensive end Gerald Rivers, quarterback Ricky Stanzi, wide receiver Chad Bumphis and fullback Eric Kettani. Tight end Brandon Barden was waived/injured.

The team waived nine rookies: offensive tackle Cody Booth, defensive lineman DeAndre Coleman, defensive tackle Ricky Havili-Heimuli, safety Craig Loston, quarterback Stephen Morris, kicker/punter Kasey Redfern, guard Tyler Shatley, tight end D.J. Tialavea and linebacker Marcus Whitfield.

Brewster had been expected to replace Brad Meester as the team's starting center, but his underwhelming play this summer cost him his spot on the roster.
