Report: Panthers begin cuts with receiver King, guard Scott

Wide receiver Tavarres King is the first player cut by the Carolina Panthers as the team begins the process of trimming its roster to 53 players, Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Person puts the move in context:
King's cut would seem to be good news for Philly Brown and Brenton Bersin.

Also getting the axe is guard Chris Scott, a player who started eight games of the team a season ago.
