Butler has been placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, the Ravens' official website reports.
Analysis:
The injury isn't necessarily all that serious, as the Ravens likely saw enough from Butler to warrant keeping him around but couldn't quite justify a spot on the 53-man roster. Butler stood out among the team's undrafted rookie wideouts and will presumably be back to compete for a roster spot next season.
