Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is not expected to play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.
Glazer notes that the Panthers fear they could be without Newton as long as 3-4 weeks if he takes another hit to his ribs.
Newton has yet to miss a start in his three year career, but it looks like there is a strong possibility backup Derek Anderson is behind center today.
