Ravens delete tweet citing Janay Rice's apology

In the wake of Ray Rice's release, the Baltimore Ravens have finally deleted a tweet in which his wife Janay Rice apologized for her "role" in their domestic violence incident. 

The couple took part in a Ravens press conference on May 23, and Janay spoke about the incident.

The tweet read as follows: 

"Janay Rice says she deeply regrets the role that she played the night of the incident."

The running back was released Monday after a new video surfaced of Rice punching his then-fiancee unconscious.
