Abraham left in the third quarter of Monday night's game against the San Diego Chargers with the injury.
The five-time Pro Bowl pass rusher was absent for the start of Cardinals' training camp this season after reportedly spending time in a rehab facility to treat an alcohol problem.
In 15 seasons split between the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals, Abraham amassed 133 1/2 sacks, 533 combined tackles and an interception.
