Jaguars' Hurns leaves stadium on crutches
Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Allen Hurns was spotted on crutches after Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Washington Redskins, Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports.
Hurns was carted off the field in the fourth quarter with an apparent knee injury. He underwent X-rays afterwards, but the results were not immediately available.
"It was pretty sore, but I think I'll be all right," he said.
Hurns was limited to two catches for 13 yards against Washington - a stark contrast from the 110 yards and two touchdowns he racked up in the Jaguars' season opener. He also dropped a would-be 66-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter.
"It sure didn't help, but that wasn't the reason," head coach Gus Bradley said, referring to the disaster that followed Hurns's dropped pass.
Tight end Marcedes Lewis also left the game with a high-ankle sprain.
