The NFL was widely criticized by fans and media alike for its handling of the Ray Rice case, but has since made only relatively minor changes to its player conduct policy. There are still loud calls for the resignation of commissioner Roger Goodell and the banishment of players like Adrian Peterson and Greg Hardy, yet no further action from the league appears forthcoming.
The voices at Anheuser-Busch, which has a six-year sponsorship contract with the NFL worth a reported $1.2 billion, may speak louder than most.
