Chiefs' Jamaal Charles practices Thursday despite high ankle sprain
There's reason for optimism in Kansas City as (reportedly) injured running back Jamaal Charles practiced with the team Thursday.
Jamaal Charles is practicing with chiefs today. An interesting turn of events. Looked OK to me

Charles went thru warmups, then spent brief period being tended to by trainer Rick Burkholder. He then joined other RBs and went thru drills

Chiefs coach Andy Reid did say that the injury wasn't "a real severe one," though any time the words "high ankle sprain" get thrown around, that would lead one to believe a multi-week injury is at hand.
Charles left Sunday's contest against the Denver Broncos after only three touches and did not return, ceding 28 touches to Knile Davis.
The Chiefs visit the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, and their bye is in Week 6.
