Report: Terrell Suggs fined for wearing gladiator helmet

The Baltimore Ravens are in the news again, but this time for something approaching the theater of the absurd.
Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs was fined $5,512 for violating the league's uniform code, according to USA TODAY's Jarrett Bell. Specifically, Suggs made the egregious error of wearing a gladiator helmet during pre-game introductions.
Suggs sported the helmet ahead of last Thursday's matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Perhaps the headgear was some sort of mystical good luck talisman, as the Ravens defeated their inter-division rivals 26-6.
