Report: Cardinals sign Marion Grice from Chargers practice squad
Injuries have ravaged the San Diego Chargers backfield, with Ryan Mathews expected to miss at least a month with a sprained MCL and Danny Woodhead out for the season with a fractured fibula.
Unfortunately for the suddenly thinned-out Chargers, they won't be able to call up rookie Marion Grice from their practice squad.
Grice, a sixth-round pick, reportedly signed a two-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals, a team looking for some depth after Jonathan Dwyer's recent domestic violence arrest.
The 22-year-old Arizona State product was the featured back during the Chargers' final preseason game against the Cardinals, rushing for 79 yards on 17 carries.
