Reaves split first-team carries with Chris Ogbonnaya on Wednesday, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Analysis:
Reaves and the recently-signed Ogbonnaya embody the Panthers' only healthy running backs at the moment, since DeAngelo Williams (ankle) has been ruled out for this Sunday, and both Jonathan Stewart (knee) and Fozzy Whittaker (quadriceps) are still banged up. As a result, Reaves appears poised for a significant role in the Panthers' offense against the Bears this weekend, but will likely share reps with at least one of his aforementioned teammates. In relief work last Sunday against the Ravens, Reaves ran for 26 yards on 12 carries, and caught three passes on five targets for 11 yards.
