Linebacker Pat Angerer, a Indianapolis Colts second-round pick in 2010 announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday, reports Josh Alper from ProFootballTalk.
Angerer was the leading tackler on the Colts in 2011 and looked to be at the start of a promising career when injuries - including concussion issues - slowed him down.
He was cut from the Atlanta Falcons during training camp this season and was unable to catch on with another team.
Angerer announced his decision in a long post on twitter.
