Bears' Lance Briggs not expected to practice Thursday

Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs was held out of practice Wednesday with a rib injury and is expected to miss Thursday's session as well, head coach Marc Trestman said.

Briggs was inactive for Sunday's 27-13 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, and it looks as though he could be sidelined against the Miami Dolphins, too.

Briggs has 22 tackles in five games this season.
