2013 - Dolphins suspend Richie Incognito
The Miami Dolphins suspend guard Richie Incognito indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team.
News of the suspension follows an ESPN report that Incognito is being reviewed by the NFLPA for his role in the bullying of teammate Jonathan Martin, who abruptly left the team a week earlier.
Incognito takes to Twitter to proclaim his innocence, calling the reports "false speculation" and saying ESPN is hiding behind sources "who are not man enough to put their name behind the BS you report."
Incognito is cut by the Dolphins on Feb. 14, 2014 following the release of a 144-page report by NFL investigator Ted Wells.
2013 - Nick Foles ties NFL record with seven touchdown passes
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles ties an NFL single-game record with seven touchdown passes in a 49-20 victory over the Oakland Raiders.
Foles joins Sid Luckman, Adrian Burk, George Blanda, Y.A. Tittle, Joe Kapp and, most recently, Peyton Manning as the only players to reach the mark in their careers.
"A couple people came up to me and said that I tied the record with seven touchdowns," Foles says after the game. "It's a great honor. Hats off to our guys for doing a great job."
2010 - Titans claim Randy Moss off waivers
The Tennessee Titans claim wide receiver Randy Moss off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings.
Tennessee passed on Moss in the 1998 draft, electing to take Kevin Dyson with the No. 16 overall pick instead.
"Randy's been a good teammate, and he's very popular. I think this is a great opportunity for him. It's a fresh start,'' head coach Jeff Fisher says. "We've got a great locker room. They'll accept him. I'm confident he'll accept his new teammates as well.''
Moss finishes the 2010 season with career lows in receptions (28) and receiving yards (393).
