Seahawks mascot issues apology for flying into stands

During Sunday's game between the Seattle Seahawks and New York Giants, a live hawk named Taima entered the stands and landed on a fan's shoulder.
Taima is the Seahawks' mascot and usually flies around CenturyLink Field prior to games before returning to its trainer. However, Taima deviated from its normal route causing a commotion prior to kickoff.
In a bizarre turn of events, the hawk - or someone speaking on its behalf - released an apology Tuesday.

The Seahawks' fan base, known as the 12th Man, is renowned for its eccentricity, and this incident certainly won't change that reputation.
