Packers' Clay Matthews not happy with move to inside linebacker, brother says
The brothers Matthews will face each other Sunday when the Philadelphia Eagles play the Green Bay Packers, and Casey Matthews took the opportunity to propose his brother Clay's displeasure with his move to inside linebacker.
"I don't think he liked too much about it. He was happy to get that sack (of Jay Cutler), but that was when he was back to outside," Casey, also an inside linebacker, told Les Bowen of Philly.com. "He likes getting after the passer, taking on the linemen ... I told him to look at it this way: He's the highest-paid inside linebacker in the league. He got a laugh out of that."
Clay has been one of the best outside rush linebackers in the NFL since coming into the league in 2009, so his move to the inside shows how desperate the Packers are to stop the run.
... Mike Vrabel made a similar move when he was a Patriot, didn't like playing ILB. It's a tough transition. Totally different position.

The transition is tough, but Matthews played well inside against the Chicago Bears in Week 10, helping limit the Bears to just 55 yards rushing on 24 attempts.
He'll be called upon again Sunday to stop an Eagles rushing game that features both LeSean McCoy and Darren Sproles.
