Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer underwent successful surgery Tuesday to repair his torn ACL, and head coach Bruce Arians is hopeful he will recover in time to rejoin the team for training camp.

"Carson's surgery went great today," Arians told SiriusXM NFL Radio, according to Pro Football Talk.

"It was a very, very small cartilage repair and his ACL. Everything else was intact and fine. He tells me he'll be out (in time) for OTAs, I doubt it. But I'm hoping July 1."

The Cardinals were able to continue rolling with Drew Stanton under center in Week 11, defeating the Detroit Lions 14-6 to improve to 9-1 on the season. They have a tough stretch ahead, though, as four of their final six games come against NFC West opponents, beginning Sunday with a road game against the Seattle Seahawks.
