Report: Texans' Ryan Mallett out for the season with pectoral injury
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports
Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Mallet will miss the remainder of the 2014 season due to a pectoral injury, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
The quarterback out of Arkansas, who recently unseated Ryan Fitzpatrick as the team's starter, reportedly played through the injury which he suffered in his first start on Nov. 16 against the Cleveland Browns.
Mallett is reportedly set to undergo surgery.
I feel terrible for Mallett. Worked his butt off, kept his mouth shut, played well in first start, played hurt and will have surgery.

Mallett completed 41-of-75 passes for 400 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions this season.
