Jones sets Falcons records for single-game, single-season receiving yards
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones had a game for the ages prior to leaving Monday's contest against the Green Bay Packers with a hip injury.
Jones caught 11 passes for 259 yards, setting the Falcons' franchise record for receiving yards in a game. Roddy White previously held the record with 210 yards against the San Francisco 49ers in Oct. 2009.
The 25-year-old superstar emerged as the only real threat in the Falcons' passing game, accounting for more than half of Atlanta's receiving yards prior to exiting the game. He now leads the NFL in receiving yards with 1,428.
Jones' 1,428 yards are also a single-season Falcons record, breaking the mark set by White in 2010, when he caught 115 passes for 1,389 yards.
During Monday's game, Jones recorded the most receiving yards by any player this season.
