49ers place Alex Boone on IR

The San Francisco 49ers placed guard Alex Boone on injured reserve with a knee injury Friday.
Boone held out during training camp and returned to the team before its season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
The 49ers also put special teams ace Bubba Ventrone on IR, and signed kick return specialist Trindon Holliday and cornerback Cameron Fuller in corresponding moves.
