New Jersey governor Chris Christie took some heat for cheering on the Dallas Cowboys against the Detroit Lions from team owner Jerry Jones's private box.

Next up for the politician could be a trip to watch the Cowboys take on the Green Bay Packers in frigid Lambeau Field.

Jones said in a radio interview Tuesday that he can't even think about playing the Packers without Christie on hand.

"He’s part of our mojo," Jones said, according to John Machota of The Dallas Morning News. "I want him there all the way. I’ll tell you, if he’s got enough mojo to pull this thing out, he ought to be looked at as president of the United States."

Jones admitted he's superstitious when it comes to the Cowboys.

"I know I’m doing everything else the same way I’ve been doing it for several weeks," he said.
