The Carolina Panthers are 11-point underdogs on the road against the Seattle Seahawks in the divisional round, and some of the team's players are offended by it.
"That’s so disrespectful to our defense," fullback Mike Tolbert said, according to The Charlotte Observer.
"That’s bull," added cornerback Josh Norman. "I don’t know where they (Vegas oddsmakers) get their diplomas from. They probably haven’t touched or looked at a football, let alone played it."
The Seahawks won their last three meetings between the two teams - all played in Carolina - by a combined 13 points, suggesting Saturday's point spread is far too generous.
Then again, the NFC West champions allowed a mere 39 points over their final six regular-season games. They are 24-2 at home over the past three seasons including playoffs.
