Former NFL wide receiver Javon Walker is now a bodybuilder
Former NFL wide receiver Javon Walker has found himself a new profession: bodybuilding.
Walker, a former first-round draft pick of the Green Bay Packers who last played in the NFL in 2009, has been competing for the National Physique Committee (NPC), an amateur bodybuilding organization.
He's pretty good at it, too, placing first in the Men's Physique Masters division of the NPC True Strength Classic in September and third in Men's Physique Class F of the NPC National Championships in November.

"It's a new challenge," Walker said during an interview at the National Championships, as relayed by USA Today Sports. "I've always had a tremendous amount of respect for people who took their bodies to the next limit.
"Even in football, I was always one of those guys who took care of my body to perform day in and day out. After retiring and figuring out this world, it also helped me understand my body a little bit more. I wanted to compete and go through some of the trials and tribulations of what you guys go through with the weeks of preparation."
Walker appeared in 83 games over the course of his eight-year NFL career, catching 267 passes for 4,011 yards and 31 touchdowns. His most successful campaign came in 2004, when he caught 89 passes for 1,382 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Packers.
