Broncos and John Fox mutually agree to part ways
The Denver Broncos and head coach John Fox have mutually agreed to part ways, the team said in a release.
Rumors swirled yesterday that there would be a chance Fox would be gone if the Broncos lost.
The veteran coach has been with the team since 2011 and guided the team to a Super Bowl appearance in 2013.
Denver went 46-18 with Fox at the helm and the Broncos reached at least the divisional round in all four years he was with the team.
That doesn't necessarily mean Fox will be taking 2015 off, though.
John Fox: 'I am eager to continue my coaching career and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.'

It remains to be seen how this news will impact Peyton Manning's decision on returning for another season.
One thing that could sway Manning to return is promoting offensive coordinator Adam Gase to head coach. Gase is a hot candidate for coaching vacancies around the league and Manning would likely want him to stick around.
