Aaron Rodgers on loss to Seahawks: 'We gave it away'
The Green Bay Packers lost a heartbreaker in Sunday's NFC Championship Game, controlling the game for three-and-a-half quarters before watching it all slip away in spectacular fashion.
After the game, quarterback Aaron Rodgers sounded exactly like you would expect a player who just watched his team choke away a big lead and lose in overtime to sound.
"We had a chance to do things and we didn’t do it," Rodgers told reporters. "We gave it away," he added.
"It's going to be a missed opportunity that we're probably going to think about the rest of my career."
Rodgers finished the game 19-of-34 passing for 178 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He was largely effective despite a lingering calf injury, but will likely bemoan his team's failure to score touchdowns early in the game. Each of the Packers' first two scoring drives ended in short field goals.
