The New York Giants' signing of former CFL offensive lineman Brett Jones will reportedly cost the team very little.

Jones's three-year deal with the Giants includes no guaranteed money, according to Jordan Raanan of NJ.com. If he makes the roster out of training camp, Jones will earn minimums of $435,000 in 2015, $525,000 in 2016 and $615,000 in 2017.

Jones, the 2013 CFL Rookie of the Year, could have earned a more lucrative deal had he elected to stay in the CFL, but wanted to pursue his dream of playing in the NFL.

"When I was in university in Canada, my goal was always to try to play in the NFL," he said in a statement released by the Giants. "As a kid growing up playing games like Madden, it definitely was an influence. Some of the players on my team (in the video game) that I played with, they play in the NFL now. I always thought that I wanted to earn a chance."
