David Cobb suffers apparent leg injury during 40-yard dash
Jesse Johnson / USA TODAY Sports
Running back prospect David Cobb's combine experience may have come to a premature conclusion.
The Minnesota product appeared to suffer a quad strain near the end of his first run in the 40-yard dash. He grabbed his leg and winced in pain as NFL doctors moved in.
Cobb clocked in at an unofficial time of 4.81 seconds, but he appeared to pull up in the final few yards.
He isn't expected to compete in any other drills as a result of the injury.
