Ameer Abdullah continues his standout performance among the running backs by leading the field in the 3-cone drill. Although his 40-yard dash wasn't mind boggling, Abdullah has done enough athletically to open some eyes.
Trey Williams has been a bright spot, running a 4.49 forty and showing off the kind of agility teams are looking for to go along with that speed.
Other Notable Performances
- Melvin Gordon, Wisconsin - 7.04 sec.
- Jay Ajayi, Boise St. - 7.10 sec.
- T.J. Yeldon, Alabama - 7.19 sec.
Melvin Gordon was solid as expected in all of the drill and did nothing to drop him as the safest running back at the top of the class.
Jay Ajayi hasn't flashed, but for his size has been able to put up respectable agility numbers throughout the day.
