Marcus Mariota has worked out exceptionally well, separating himself as the best athlete, by far, among quarterbacks. With Jameis Winston looking like the clear top QB, Mariota is still improving his draft stock with this showing.
Bryce Petty and Brett Hundley also fared well in the 3-cone, each helping their stock with solid workouts and positional drills.
Nick Marshall continues to put up decent quarterback numbers, but poor cornerback times.
Other Notable Performances
- Bryan Bennett, Southeastern Louisiana - 7.13 sec.
- Jameis Winston, Florida St. - 7.16 sec.
- Shane Carden, East Carolina - 7.18 sec.
- Sean Mannion, Oregon St. - 7.29 sec.
While nobody hurt themselves, Shane Carden and Sean Mannion have proven to be the least athletically qualified of the second round and on quarterbacks. Both threw well but will not be beating anybody with their speed or athleticism at the next level.
