Although the New England Patriots are not expected to exercise Darrelle Revis's $20-million option for 2015, the All-Pro cornerback will return to the Super Bowl champions if the club matches all other offers, according to Manish Mehta and Seth Walder of the New York Daily News

Revis isn't a free agent, but could hit the open market if the Patriots elect not to pick up his option by March 9.

The 29-year-old was an integral part of the Patriots' championship run, recording 47 tackles and two interceptions during the season.

If Revis becomes a free agent, the New York Jets are rumored to have strong interest in reuniting with the star cornerback. Revis began his career with the Jets, spending the first six seasons of his career with the club after being drafted 14th overall in the 2007 NFL Draft.
