The Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles have expressed serious interest in signing San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore, according to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com.
Gore and the Colts have mutual interest in agreeing on a contract, according to Maiocco.
The 31-year-old has spent the entirety of his 10-year career with the 49ers. 49ers CEO Jed York said Saturday that he was confident that his team would be able to re-sign the veteran running back, but it should come as little surprise that he has many interested parties.
Gore rushed for 1,106 yards and four touchdowns in 2014, his fourth consecutive 1,000-yard season. If Gore leaves the 49ers, Carlos Hyde is expected to get the majority of carries.
