The San Francisco 49ers have emerged as favorites to sign wide receiver Torrey Smith, according to Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun.
Smith is slated to become a free agent Tuesday. He has spent his entire four-year career with the Ravens, winning a Super Bowl in 2012.
If Smith signs with the 49ers, he will be re-aligned with former Ravens teammate Anquan Boldin, who signed with San Francisco after capturing the Super Bowl with Baltimore.
The 26-year-old caught 49 passes for 767 yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns last season.
Smith is reportedly being pursued by a number of teams, including the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans. If he joins the 49ers, he will be tasked with elevating a passing game that regressed badly in 2014.
