The Oakland Raiders are opening their wallets for free-agent center Rodney Hudson.
Hudson will join the team on a five-year deal worth $44.5 million, CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports.
The Raiders made a run at Ndamukong Suh, but the crown jewel of the defensive free agent class is expected to sign with the Miami Dolphins.
With a reported $70 million in salary cap space burning a hole in their pocket and several holes to fill, the Raiders turned their attention to bolstering their offensive line.
Hudson was rumored to be seeking the biggest contract ever given to a center. It looks like the Raiders were happy to meet his demands.
