Free-agent guard Mike Iupati plans on signing with the Arizona Cardinals, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Schefter notes in the report that Iupati has told people he plans to sign, so nothing is official. The deal would pay Iupati up to $41 million over five years, with $22.5 million guaranteed, according to Schefter.
Iupati is the most highly sought after offensive lineman in the 2015 free-agent class so this would be a huge upgrade for a team that started Ted Larsen and Paul Fanaika at guard most of last season.
Drafted 17th overall by the San Francisco 49ers in 2010, Iupati is a three-time Pro Bowler.
