The Houston Texans have reached a deal with safety Rahim Moore, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Moore's contract with the Texans will pay him $12 million over three years, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Moore met with the team Wednesday and fits what Texans defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel wants out of the safety position, McClain notes. Houston is in need of a safety to pair with D.J. Swearinger, as Danieal Manning and Kendrick Lewis are both free agents.

The 24-year-old Moore recorded 49 tackles with the Denver Broncos in 2014.
