• Struggled to make good decisions within the offense, leading to 18 interceptions against fairly pedestrian competition in 2014.

NFL player comparison: Ben Roethlisberger

Winston has the same size and physical tools as Roethlisberger, though he may not be able to extend plays as well as Big Ben. Their bulk and arm strength are almost identical and both have a competitive demeanor that has led them to late-game success. Roethlisberger has had to work hard to dispel immaturity concerns.

Winston is an ideal fit for a team that is looking to start him from Day 1. His talent and profile will be hard to hold down, so playing right away may be the best scenario for him and the team. If he gets past the Bucs at No. 1, any team with a vulnerable starter will be asking for a quarterback controversy should they take him.
