The lukewarm free-agent market for wide receiver Michael Crabtree could be heating up.
The Miami Dolphins are hosting the former San Francisco 49ers wideout Thursday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who reports that Crabtree has already landed in Miami.
The Dolphins recently traded for Kenny Stills and have second-year receiver Jarvis Landry installed as a starter, but they lack veteran depth at the position.
Crabtree's soft market is an indication teams don't view him as a game-changing talent, but he would be an upgrade for the Dolphins. Crabtree's possession game could be a good match for Ryan Tannehill's short-passing prowess.
