Texans considering appearing on HBO's 'Hard Knocks'
The Cleveland Browns could have some competition in trying to land the starring role in HBO's "Hard Knocks" this season.
Houston Texans owner Bob McNair says the team is thinking about an appearance on the show.
"It’s something we’re considering, but I haven’t decided," McNair told John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. "It’s a distraction, but it’s something people like to see."
McNair's concern is whether the cameras and publicity would be a positive or a detriment.
"Our first responsibility is to do everything we can to win on the field. So the question is, what impact does that have on you?"
The Browns are the reported front-runners to land the gig, and viewers would probably prefer to follow Johnny Manziel during training camp, but getting an inside look at J.J. Watt would also be compelling.
