Report: Assault case against Broncos' Aqib Talib suspended
The Dallas Police Department has suspended the aggravated assault case against Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib, according to Rebecca Lopez of WFAA-TV in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Talib and his brother were under investigation following reports a man fired a round of shots into the air outside a nightclub during the early hours of April 8. Dallas police did not identify Talib or his brother as being involved in the shooting.
After speaking with witnesses, police determined they don't have enough evidence to proceed with the case, Lopez reports.
In June 2014, Dallas police falsely reported Talib had been arrested after causing a disturbance at a nightclub where an NFL camp after-party was being held. Police later admitted the man arrested was Talib's brother.
