While many speculated otherwise, the Minnesota Vikings did not trade running back Adrian Peterson on the first night of the NFL draft, making it seem more and more likely that the former 2,000-yard rusher will remain a Viking for the 2015 season.
General manager Rick Spielman was short in his responses when asked two questions about the 2012 NFL MVP Thursday night, saying "Nothing's changed with Adrian - end of story."
Asked what kind of return other clubs had offered in exchange for Peterson, Spielman again had no interest in discussing the matter, indicating that the plan is to keep Peterson around in 2015.
"Adrian Peterson is under contract as a Minnesota Viking," Spielman said. "End of story."
The 30-year-old running back ran for 75 yards on 21 carries in his only game played last season.
